The Mark Kinsella Charlton Challenge
Charlton Athletic manager Phil Parkinson is bringing his bright young squad to Ireland as part of his preparations for the new English season. Charlton, until recently a Premiership club, are facing life in League One and need to hit the ground running so both their Irish matches will be competitive affairs, fronted by Charlton’s former Irish international Mark Kinsella, with a penalty shoot out should scores be level after ninety minutes.
Charlton play Wexford Youths at Ferrycarrig Park on Sunday 12th July, kick off 7pm. They will be the first English club to visit the Wexford Football Complex.
League of Ireland season tickets will not be valid for this historic fixture but entry charges remain unchanged at just €10 with students and OAPs €5 and accompanied children under 12 free with tickets available on the night of the game.
Charlton then move on to face Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle on Wednesday 15th July, kick off 7.45pm.
